Laryngomalacia: Pediatric Feeding and Swallowing Impacts

This course focused on discussing what Laryngomalacia is, how to assess Laryngomalacia from an Otolaryngologist (ENT physician), the treatment for Laryngomalacia, and case studies are provided to further understanding.

Dr. Edward Penn is a Pediatric Otolaryngologist, who received his medical education from University of Kansas School of Medicine then went on to complete his residency at University of Kansas Medical Center. Dr. Penn further completed a fellowship program in Pediatric Otolaryngology at Lurie Children's Hospital in Chicago. Dr. Penn is originally from Kansas and enjoys spending time with his family.

Brianna Miluk, MS, CCC-SLP, CLC is a speech language pathologist and Certified Lactation Counselor who focuses on pediatric feeding and swallowing disorders. She especially loves serving infants and medically complex children. Bri strives to provide treatment that builds on responsive feeding approaches, is multidisciplinary, and considers a child's zone of proximal development and principles of neuroplasticity. She primarily works in the home health setting and enjoys mentoring future and current SLPs interested in PFDs.
