Responsive Feeding From Birth

This course focused on discussing the benefits of breastfeeding for mom and baby, explained how hunger and satiety cues are displayed in infants, provided bottle feeding tips, discussed how to start solids, discussed how to handle picking eating in toddlers and explained how to create a positive environment during mealtimes.

Cinthia Scott is a Registered Dietitian and Certified Lactation Counselor focusing on providing evidence-based support to mothers to help promote adequate nutrition in the first two years of life, which is the most critical stage of development. As a mother herself, she is passionate about starting babies and toddlers out with optimal nutrition and establishing healthy habits that lead to joyful mealtimes for the whole family.

Brianna Miluk, MS, CCC-SLP, CLC is a speech language pathologist and Certified Lactation Counselor who focuses on pediatric feeding and swallowing disorders. She especially loves serving infants and medically complex children. Bri strives to provide treatment that builds on responsive feeding approaches, is multidisciplinary, and considers a child's zone of proximal development and principles of neuroplasticity. She primarily works in the home health setting and enjoys mentoring future and current SLPs interested in PFDs.
