What is a Pediatric Feeding Disorder?

This course is presented in a audio/podcast format and described the four domains of a pediatric feeding disorder: medical, nutritional, feeding skill, and psychosocial. Additionally, more common underlying diagnoses are explained. It focused on the importance of finding out underlying causes for feeding difficulties and making appropriate referrals as indicated.

Bios:

Olivia Whitaker is a clinical dietitian who recently shifted focus to pediatrics. She was drawn to pediatrics after adopting her son with special needs who requires feeding therapy, speech therapy and the forever long list of every therapy under the sun. Olivia also recently birthed a child and quickly found herself researching everything about pediatrics and nutrition. Olivia states, "so here I am soaking in all the knowledge of pediatrics and sharing the knowledge I gain as I go along. I mainly work with kids ages 0-5 and truly love this new career change!"

Brianna Miluk is a speech language pathologist and certified lactation counselor. She works with pediatric patients in their homes and outpatient settings.
